Nord Hub: UAE and Saudi Arabia development update

An update on Nord Hub’s five-city development programme, from construction in Ras Al Khaimah to planned projects in Saudi Arabia.

Nord Hub Storage and Logistics LLC leads MTR Group’s cold-storage development programme across Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Jeddah and Riyadh. Begun in 2025, the programme brings together projects at different stages of preparation and development.

In Ras Al Khaimah, construction is underway. For the Dubai development, drawings have been submitted for approval, with construction planned to begin in November 2026, subject to the necessary approvals. Land arrangements for the Fujairah development are being finalised.

In Jeddah, work is focused on finalising land arrangements and establishing the company. Development is provisionally expected to begin in January 2027. Discussions with investment funds are ongoing; no investment-fund agreement has been signed for the Jeddah project. Riyadh remains a planned cold-storage project.

Nord Hub forms part of MTR Group’s UAE-based expansion into GCC projects. Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkey are also under consideration as future markets. Those possibilities remain separate from the five-city Gulf programme.

The Nord Hub project page provides the location-by-location overview and a point of contact for relevant development and commercial discussions.
